NICOS is led by Chef Gerardo Vázquez Lugo and is located in the Clavería district of Azcapotzalco, Mexico City. Despite its international recognition, the restaurant has proudly maintained its neighbourhood character.

Chef Gerardo has developed a Slow Food–inspired concept, ensuring that each dish pays tribute to Mexico’s rich culinary heritage. He combines ancient and traditional recipes with locally sourced ingredients, sustainable practices, and contemporary techniques.

Since 2015, NICOS has consistently ranked among the 100 Best Restaurants in Latin America and is recognized by both San Pellegrino and the Michelin Guide.

Tastes & Mixology

The products are sourced locally. The inspiration comes from food markets around the world. Our open kitchen creates seasonal, fresh dishes with refined simplicity. The focus is on bowls and grilled dishes – ideal for combining and sharing. The bar offers signature drinks from the mixologist and Swiss cult beverages.

Music & After Work

Lounge music and chillout sound from our Resident DJ Floriant Seitz make Noumi the new hotspot for Bern and a meeting place for guests from around the globe. The relaxed atmosphere is perfect for after-work rendezvous or casual dinners.

Location

The Noumi premises once accommodated the Bernese coin press; in fact, the name derives from «numismatics». The fashionably styled interior impresses guests with its copper-coloured basalt stones. With light colours and natural materials such as wood and marble, the trendy venue exudes an urban ambience.
